We've been busy working on not one, but two new Ink distillery exclusive whiskies, and we can't wait to share them with you! As members, you'll hear all about these first, as well as having the chance to purchase them before anyone else.
Look out for an email with more information and a link to purchase on Monday, 24th October at 12pm (BST).
Whilst we're not giving away any details just yet, we can let you know these are both smoky drams - perfect for the colder autumnal evenings here on Mull!

Tobermory 2008 Red Wine Cask Matured - 57,7%- 14 Jahre - Distillery Exclusive Whisky WB in Arbeit
At 14 years old Tobermory hits a point of perfection in any cask type, but in the red wine casks it really found the perfect balance of distillery character; orange and candied citrus with the flavours of red wine providing an extra layer of depth and complexity - the red wine casks give a thick mouthfeel with notes of blackcurrant jam and cocoa.
Colour Vintage Oak
Nose Initial notes of tangy grapes, dark berries and sweet malt fade to reveal a burst of orange and marzipan
Palate Thick honey, figs, raisins and blackcurrant jam are met with gentle oak and a shaving of dark chocolate intertwined with candied citrus and vanilla
Finish Sweet dryness with lingering notes of orange peel

Nachtrag: Die Abfüllung reifte ausschl. in Bordeaux Rotweinfässern - insgesamt wurden 2000 Flaschen abgefüllt. Die Infos stammen aus dem Visitor Center von Tobermory.
Sehr interessant. Vor fünf Jahren gab's Deanston 2008 und Bunnahabhain Mòine 2008 aus eben diesen Bordeaux-Fässern, auch Vollreifungen. Ich fand die sehr sehr gut. Kostenpunkt damals: 40 Euro resp. 75 Euro. Richtige PLV-Kracher, sogar zu den damaligen Zeiten.
