Fèis Ile 2020 wird es nicht geben, genause wie die Open Days in Campletown. Was haltet ihr von den Ankündigungen, das Ganze virtuell zu den Leuten nach Hause bringen zu wollen? Zumindest hat Bunnahabhain dazu erste Hinweise gesendet....
Wer steht und campiert jetzt Stunden und Tage vorher, vor den Toren der Destillen um das ein oder andere rare Fläschchen zu ergattern? Es tut mir wirklich leid für diejenigen, die ihren Urlaub darauf ausgelegt haben, sich schon lange darauf freuen und nun enttäuscht werden. Auf der anderen Seite hat man jedes Jahr gehört, dass es immer voller auf der Insel wurde und das Szenario vor Ort schon etwas von dem neusten Release eines Sneakers in einem Foot Locker Store hatte. Tut es unabhängig von den wirtschaftlichen Einbußen, der ganzen Branche vielleicht auch ganz gut? Und was die wirtschaftlichen Folgen angeht, denke ich da weniger an die Destillerien und mehr an die Bewohner der Insel, die von den Übernachtungsgästen leben...
Nachtrag: die Open Days sind zumindest meiner Meinung nach noch nicht offiziell abgesagt....
Finde ich ganz gut die Idee, auch wenn wohl etwas Atmosphäre fehlen wird

Die Atmosphäre wird sicher schwierig zu "transportieren" sein....aber die Aufmerksamkeit wird ihnen gewiss sein. Werde das ganze mit dem nötigen Abstand verfolgen

Planning to restart production on 11 May. Releasing Feis bottling. When and how to buy details on social media. BUNNAHABHAIN: Closed for production. Re evaluating situation on daily basis. Thinking perhaps starting production 1 June. Yes there is a Fèis bottle which will be available online. BRUICHLADDICH: Stopped production. No definite plans to restart at present. Special Fèis bottling available. Enter lottery to purchase. BOWMORE: Not in production. Not releasing Fèis bottle. This is part of the Fèis pilgrimage which they look forward to people making in 2021. ARDBEG: Not in production. No dates as yet for reopening. Ardbeg Blaaack available online in some countries as Fèis bottling. LAGAVULIN: Currently in production. Not aware of plans for Fèis bottling CAOL ILA: Still in production. Closed to public for renovations. No confirmed date for reopening.
