As peak whisky season gathers pace, we’re proud to unveil something truly special from our Islay home - the Ardnahoe Islay Single Malt - Cask Strength Edition.
This 5-year-old release, bottled at a natural 60.9% ABV, has been crafted exclusively from spirit matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, offering the purest expression of Ardnahoe’s spirit. On the nose, expect coastal brine, earthy peat and rich cocoa, followed by orchard fruits, herbal tea and salted caramel on the palate, leading to a smoky finish with citrus undertones.
This is Batch One of an ongoing Cask Strength series and marks the third core release from Ardnahoe, following the Oloroso sherry-matured Bholsa and the smoky, zesty Infinite Loch.
“The third bottling in our core range is a significant moment for us,” says David. “Cask strength whisky allows for a more intense flavour profile and gives drinkers full control to enjoy it their way.”
The Cask Strength Edition will be available from Thursday 30th October at an RRP of £65, via ardnahoedistillery.com, at the Ardnahoe Distillery Shop, and from specialist whisky retailers worldwide.
Ich freue mich drauf, Bholsa und Infinite Loch haben mir, besonders nach längerer Oxidation, gut gefallen. Nur preislich finde ich Ardnahoe bisher etwas unbequem.
