Der war so lecker dass ich ihn gleich mal anlegen musste Hier meine (englischen) Notes von der Base:
Nase: Typical Ben Nevis nose. A bit understating with that characteristic weird smell that I can't put into words (Edit: Cask1988 described it very fittingly as a "raw, earthy, muddy layer combined with water that ran through peat grounds"). The sherry influence is subtle but definitely noticeable. I get floral notes, cooked veggie stew and some berries. The alcohol is present with a fresh menthol note. Smells like it has been forgotten in a basement for a while but it's still alive and kicking! -90P
Geschmack: Sweet with prominent sherry notes. Raisins, strawberries, honey with some herbs, menthol, spices like cinnamon and cloves. The mouthfeel is oily with some taste of sweet grapefruit and cherries. Beautiful! Great combination of sweet sherry notes/fruits and fresh menthol. -94P
Abgang: Sweetness and sherry notes linger. Definitely still tasting strawberries and the memory of menthol lingers at the back of my throat. Finally the wood comes through with some dry notes. -92P
